PDP’s: 10 Hours with Completed Project
Description: This workshop will demonstrate the use of picture books to teach U.S. History in the elementary classroom. Models of reading strategies in action, poetry and other writing forms used to synthesize new content, and integration of book making projects will be provided. Participants will view models of various classroom ideas and have opportunities to apply these to other picture books within the grade three and five Social Studies MA curriculum frameworks.
