Time: 3:45 – 6:00 PM

Fee: $50. for Member Districts $195. for non-Member Districts

Description: Teachers will use many new and favorite manipulatives as they investigate math concepts selected from several of the grades three through five Massachusetts Mathematics Learning Standards. Using many past mathematics MCAS questions as starting points, we will investigate varied manipulative to teach the same concepts. We will also investigate the math behind the math to help deepen teachers’ own math concepts. Handouts for future reference will be provided.

Sessions 1 and 2: Learning Standard: Number Sense (focus on fractions)

Session 3: Learning Standard: Geometry

Session 4: Learning Standard: Measurement

Fee: $50 for Member Districts $195 for non-Member Districts
