Description:  Climate change is one of the most pervasive science topics of the day.  Hardly a day goes by when this topic is not mentioned in the newspaper or on the evening news.  If you have been wondering how you can incorporate the concepts of climate change and global warming into your science class, this is the workshop for you.  Designed for science teachers in grades 7-12, this series will include four workshops designed specifically to provide teachers with standards-based lessons and activities that can be used to teach climate change.  In these workshops, teachers will see and perform inquiry-based lessons using readily-available materials.  Lessons will include laboratory investigations, kinesthetic activities, graphing lessons, internet resources, and current climate change data obtained in the field.  Participants will leave each session with copies of all lessons and handout materials.  Time will be provided for sharing of lessons, ideas, and curriculum materials.
