Preparing for the Middle School Mathematics MTEL Exam

Audience: School Staff Members interested in the March Mathematics MTEL Exam

Dates: Mondays and Thursdays: January 26, 29 February 12, 23, 26, and March 2, 2008^th

Time: 3:30 – 5:30 PM

Fee: $75 for Member Districts $295 for non-Member Districts

Supplies: MTEL Book available for purchase or loan.

PDP’s: 12 Hours

Description: This program is designed to help candidates prepare for the November, 2008 Middle School Mathematics MTEL exam. The Salem State Collaborative will supply participants with a resource book (loan or purchase) that will be the basis of the instruction. Each session will focus on one of the five content areas with the last session focused on Open Response Questions.  

Week 1 Number Sense

Week 2 Patterns and Relations

Week 3 Geometry and Measurement

Week 4 Data Analysis, Statistics and Probability

Week 5 Trigonometry, Calculus and Discrete Mathematics

Week 6 Open Response
