Description:
TI-Nspires will be invading your classroom this fall. Your students can now purchase them online. Learn how this new graphing calculator will impact your classroom. You do not need to own a TI-Nspire as one will be made available for you during the workshop. In addition, time will be spent looking at the PC software available for purchase with the handheld. Classroom sets of TI-Nspire Calculators will be available to borrow for participants from either TI or from the collaborative (one set available.)
Session 1: Introduction to the basics of using the Handheld.
Session 2: Connectivity: How to bring together the different functions of the calculator.
This workshop will focus on using the gallery and improving the style of a presentation.
Session 3: Activities utilizing the handheld. Visit TI to access lessons and activities for all levels of mathematics.
Session 4: Writing your own activities: Something to bring back to the classroom.
Fee: $45 for Member Districts $175 for non-Member Districts
