Description:
SmartBoards and computer projection systems are changing how we teach. This technology in conjunction with the internet and Microsoft Office are wonderful tools to help all students understand the topics being presented. This 10-hour 4-session course will link, these teaching tools in creating lessons, assessments and activities. Participants will be expected to create activities and field test them with their classes. These lessons will be shared with other participants with the hope of creating a learning environment that will continue after the class ends.
Session 1: Basic Use of SmartBoards and SmartNotebook
This presentation will give the participant a general overview of how SmartBoards can be used in Mathematics, an overview of how all the components work together, and the development of lessons using SmartNotebook.
Session 2: Using SmartNotebook to its full potential
This workshop will focus on using the gallery and improving the style of a presentation.
Session 3: Other Programs with the SmartBoard and SmartNotebook
Integrate Word, PowerPoint, Cabri, Autograph and TI-SmartView into your presentations.
Session 4: Final Product
This workshop will provide you with time to complete a lesson from your textbook and present what you have learned.
Fee: $45 for Member Districts $175 for non-Member Districts
