Description: In this grade 3-5 workshop, we will be exploring the big ideas presented in the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Frameworks. We will carry out an item analysis of the Science MCAS and examine how key science concepts are being assessed.

Workshop participants will carry out investigations and discuss how these concepts can be taught most effectively using a hands-on minds-on approach. We will look at strategies we can use to reinforce these concepts and to deepen student understanding and mastery.
