Professor, SSC

Description: This workshop will focus primarily on Howard
Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence(s) Theory and its possible application(s) in
the classroom. We will compare and
contrast MI theory with other child psychology/development theories; discussing
the appropriateness of current educational policy and practice. Participants will examine the difference
between learning styles and learning preferences and discuss how to identify
and distinguish between the two in their students. While some of the focus will be on theory, a significant portion
of the session will revolve around the integration of MI into teacher’s
lesson/unit design.
