What is Project WISE ?  
This career day program for middle school girls has been presented each year since 1990 and will be attended this year by over 300 girls.

On Tuesday, March 16, 2010 the Collaborative Project for Mathematics, Science and Interdisciplinary Education (CPMSIE) is sponsoring an all-day workshop at Salem State University for 6th-8th grade women students who are thinking about careers in science and engineering.  Since your school is a Collaborative member, we invite you to attend the Women in Science and Engineering (W.I.S.E.) program with your students.  The schedule for the day will include:

8:15-9:00a.m         Arrival-juice, coffee and donuts available.
            Identification of student workshop schedules.
            Introduction to the day’s activities.

9:00-9:50a.m        Workshop I
10:00-10:50a.m    Workshop II
11:00-11:50a.m    Workshop III

12:00-1:00p.m        Lunch (Students are responsible for bagged lunch and beverages)
            Evaluation
            Keynote Speaker
1:00-1:30p.m        Departure

Space is limited.  Each school system which is a contributing member of the Collaborative is guaranteed twelve (12) places for students if a response is received by January 5, 2010.  Please return the enclosed reservation form as soon as possible.  Important: Because of the large number of schools in the Collaborative this year, your available seats will be assigned to other schools if your reservation form is not received by the due date.  If you have any questions, please call 978-542-6068 or e-mail jterlizzi@salemstate.edu.  This form may be mailed to the address below or faxed to 978-542-7215.
