Description: SMART Board software has allowed teachers to create more engaging lessons, students to interact more with their learning and access a world outside our classrooms.  Through this course you will have the opportunity to create seamless and interactive lessons that benefit both you, as the teacher, and your students.  Computers will be available for your use. It is recommended that you bring curriculum materials and a flash drive so that you have the opportunity to use what is created in this course in your classroom.   

Session 1: Reviewing Notebook Basics 

This session will give the participant a review of the basic tools in Notebook 10.  This would include a review of items in the toolbar and gallery.

Session 2: Structuring and Organizing Lessons

This session will focus on building lessons and using the features of SMART Notebook 10.0.  Participants will learn how to use the features of the software to enhance lessons and create engaging presentations including linking, attachments, and page grouping.

Session 3: Adding Style to SMART lessons

This session will show how to using the tools and features you learned to make more interactive lessons.  This session will include features like object animation, lesson activity toolkit, and tables.

Session 4: Integrating rich media into Lesson Activities                                             

This session will look at other tools included in the SMART software like SMART recorder, SMART video player, and SMART notebook Print Capture.  This session will also provide time for participants to share lessons they have created.
