Description:   The focus of this workshop will be on examining the “guiding principles” and the five strands of the Mass Frameworks for ELA in designing lessons using Smartboard technology, print and other electronic media. In addition, emphasis will be on integrating these lessons and activities across the curriculum.

 

Week 1- Speaking and Learning- small group discussion, collaboration, oral presentations

 

Week 2- Language Arts- vocabulary and grammar

 

Week 3- Reading- foundations, informational text, literary text and media

 

Week 4- Writing- composition of informal text, persuasive
