Lessons and Activities in Forensic Science

Description: This workshop will focus on various techniques used in forensic science.  Activities have applications in biology and chemistry and can be easily adapted to meet the needs of a particular science curriculum in grades 7-12.  Participants in this workshop will perform a number of activities including practicing such techniques as crime scene analysis and evidence collection, fingerprinting techniques and analysis, blood typing, blood spatter analysis, and ear print analysis, among others.  Handouts, which include background information and instructions for performing these activities will be given.
