Description:
This workshop will focus on the use of technology to support
teaching and learning. The session will be intended for an audience of teachers,
administrators, and technical support personnel with intermediate technology
skills. The content will focus on the use of free Google tools in education.
Specifically, content will focus on Google Search, Google Docs, Google Maps,
Google Sites, and Google Groups. Time permitting, additional Google tools will
also be covered. Materials and activities will be similar to those developed by
CUE for the Google Teacher Academy.
CUE will provide Lead Learners, materials for
participants (handouts, slides, & online resources), and an online evaluation
for the workshop. Each participant will also be inducted into the Google Workshop
for Educators Network, an online professional development community.
