Description:  This workshop will help you and your students prepare for those areas of the chemistry frameworks that are often taught in the second half of the year.  Due to time constraints, these topics are often not taught to great depth, especially those near the end.  Come to this workshop to learn great activities, lessons, labs, and demonstrations that will help your class understand these concepts even with time constraints.  Topics covered will be those in the following sections of the Massachusetts Chemistry Frameworks:

6. States of Matter, Kinetic Molecular Theory, and Thermochemistry

7. Solutions, Rates of Reaction, and Equilibrium

8. Acids and Bases and Oxidation-Reduction Reactions

Come learn a variety of useful activities and demos to help your students understand the concepts associated with states of matter, thermodynamics, solution chemistry, acid and bases, and Redox reactions among others.
